Inspired by George and Lenny from Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, Junior was a fat, stupid bear to George's in-control, straight-man bear. All the cartoons from this short-lived animation series were directed by creator Fred "Tex" Avery. Contrary to rumors to the contrary (often credited to Tex Avery himself), Tex Avery did not voice Junior in this cartoon.
