Cartoon Summary:

At the Cartoonville Theatre, Oswald views the Chicago Daily News Universal Newsreel. It's reported from Dubendorf, Switzerland that "Piccard ascends to new height mark in upper stratosphere." Inspired by the news, the rabbit takes his rather weighty theater companion on "Oswald's Stratosphere Flight." Overshooting the mark somewhat, the pair land on Mars (identifiable by a neon sign reading "Mars"). A giant personification of the war god Mars awaits, and finds Oswald and his friend in a soup spoon. The pair avoid becoming the first course by escaping, but are eventually caught between two forks. A fate worse than death would have followed if the Cartoonville Theatre janitor hadn't grabbed the pair, still slumbering in their seats, by the napes of their necks.
