Cartoon Summary:

In this retelling of the nonsense poem by Edward Lear, the cat (a Jimmy Durante-sounding character) serenades a cute owl gal with his guitar. Her boyfriend refuses to lose his girlfriend to a loser with a "magical guitar." The pussycat runs away from home to elope. Her master, Farmer Al Falfa, wants the cat to come back because of all those damn mice!
