choppy sequel to the first film.

not very good as the original. the animation is all choppy, and the new villian sarousch is weak! i saw this film when i was only 4 years old. i watched it, and at the end, i immediately shed tears through the film. i said, "wow! this is amazing!" now i'm saying to myself, "what a choppy sequel to the 1996 film." also the songs they put in were just so zesty and weak.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame II
Utterly pointless sequel
Reviewed by: FireballXL6,
"The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was a film that delighted and entertained countless viewers. It was a masterpiece, combining state-of-the-art computer graphics with traditional cel animation and masterfully-written music to give us one of the most fantastic Disney adaptations ever made.
And then "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II" ruins any hope of a decent sequel or a franchise.
Quasimodo had a happy ending in the first film, shrugging off his fling with Esmerelda and finding happiness at being accepted in the world. But in this shoddy sequel, no doubt hurried to capitalise on the film's success, Quasimodo is still depressed and emotional about his bachelor status.
To put it bluntly about this film, the animation was shoddy and bland, the music was forgettable, and any glamour the characters had in the first film have vanished altogether. To call it a bad sequel would be completely unfair to bad sequels anywhere, including "Saturday the 14th Strikes Back" and "Flesh Gordon Meets the Cosmic Cheerleaders", both of which look like Oscar winners compared to this film.
If you want good entertainment or a decent film, then choose something else. This film isn't worth the film negative it's printed on.

since i'm a large Phoebus fan, i found this moving fulfilling to my need to see Kevin Klien be Phoebus once more.
the movie is pretty good for a sequal. this time Quasi finds his own girl, we get to see Phoebue and Esmeralda happily married. the kid they have is pretty cool, got hair like his daddy and the gypsy spirit of his mother. my favorite quote:
"my daddy is Captain of the Guard and you are gonna be in big trouble..."
