Cartoon Comments:
A great and bizarre one

The acting in this one is phenomenal, and the "risque" gags are played perfectly. A great example of how a simple concept can be drawn out into a great performance by brilliant animators and voice actors. The hen's comment at the end slays me!

The Henpecked Duck
not good for major Daffy fans or kids

When I saw this as a little kid, I didn't like it. It dealt with divorce, which I didn't like, because one of my friends went through it. It was sort of scary when the egg disappeared, and I was freaking out with Daffy. Now, as a teen, it's obviously not scary, but I still have a negative opinion of it. This is not one of Daffy's usual, crazy roles!

The Henpecked Duck

One of Clampett's most atypical efforts--it's not as reliant on breakneck-paced, violent humor--but still one of his best, in my opinion. Drama, crisis, and a happy ending to please everybody.
One of Warren Foster's best scripts ever.

One of Clampett's most atypical cartoons (it doesn't thrive on break-neck-paced sight gags), its story has genuine drama....and a happy ending to please everybody.
It's worth noting, too, that the "BEE-YOOP" sound effect which ultimately became Clampett's little signature ending his cartoons, originated with this film.
