When Cyndi Lauper first heard the music for this film, she thought that it might be out of her vocal range.

Animation producer and longtime Weston Woods friend Adam Snyder, of Rembrandt Films, was Weston Woods' liaison with animator Konstantin Bronzit. Snyder travelled to Russia to deliver the contract, book and audio tracks to Bronzit personally. Bronzit then sent animation back to Weston Woods via the Internet.
