This cartoon marks the first appearance of composer Scott Bradley's Tom and Jerry theme music. He also composed the music for "Puss Gets The Boot" and "The Midnight Snack"- which were released before "The Night Before Christmas."

I know it's sloppy, but it's a Christmas film for crying out loud! The art work is brilliant (especially Jerry's reflection in the tree baubles) and the mice on a stick, just great.
Maybe not as violent as some (!), but a great cartoon...  (read more)
