A combination of 2D traditional animation and 3D CG color animation.
Premiered at the Annecy Animation Film Festival.
Audio was recreated from archival recordings. To stay true to only using Walt's voice, it took about two weeks for the editors to edit his voice tracks to assemble the word "red" and make it sound like a surprised statement
Shown theatrically in the U.S. with the feature film Frozen.
This short was conceived and directed by Lauren MacMullan. With this short, she becomes the first woman to direct a Disney animated film. The hand-drawn animation was supervised by Eric Goldberg, and its computer animation by Adam Green.
