The first 14 episodes of this series began screening on Channel Five's children's slot, Milkshake, on May 31, 2004. Another 38 episodes began to air on Five in September 2004.
Astley Baker Davies' first pre-school production.
Lily Snowden Fine, who provides the voice of Peppa Pig, is the daughter of "Peppa's Pig" writer Alison Snowden and David Fine, who also writes for animation. Peppa Pig "announces" the title at the opening of each episode.
Grandpa's Parrot was featured earlier in the Astley Baker short film "Jolly Roger."
Oliver May and Alice May both provide the voice of George Pig.
