Raoul Barre was an early prominent early animator, director and producer. Though he opened the studio dedicated specifically to animation, Barre also has the unenviable distinction of running the first animation studio to fail. Barre would end up working for Bray, as well as Edison, for whom he produced the Animated Grouch Chasers series.
