Cartoon Synopsis:

We first see a handsome debonair dog-about-town. He sees and is smitten by a gorgeous cat who spurns him. In deep despair, he wanders the city, alone, hopeless. On a cold wintry night, he walks to the middle of a bridge, hesitates, then leaps over the rail to end it all.

But no! At the last moment, a paw grasps the rail, and the dog, with renewed hope, pulls himself back onto the bridge. He looks to the right. The roadway is empty as far as the eye can see. He looks to the left. Again nothing, and he steps boldly, confidently into the road to begin life anew.

Suddenly, a big black car at high speed flattens the dog on the pavement. And we see, in the rear window of the rapidly disappearing car, the smiling face of the gorgeous cat.
