Cartoon Synopsis:

As the Gargoyles anxiously await Halloween- the one time of the year they are free to enjoy themselves in the open- David Xanatos and Fox have their own reasons to be joyful: they have become engaged. As an engagement gift, Xanatos gives Fox the dazzling Eye of Odin, a priceless relic that he acquired at no small cost.

Meanwhile, a rash of creature sightings and property destruction around the city puzzles Eliza and the police department. It seems a large, dog-like beast has been spotted in several locations in Manhattan, but it always vanishes as quickly as it appears. The sightings gain much attention as Halloween approaches, and Xanatos becomes suspicious of Fox's recent bouts with lethargy and unexplainable behavior. On Halloween night, with Goliath and Eliza on a "date" in the festive New York streets, the werewolf beast makes an appearance and a rooftop battle ensues.

Xanatos arrives in his cybernetic battlesuit to- oddly enough- help Goliath battle the creature. He explains a curious truth: the wolf is none other than his bride-to-be Fox. Apparently the Eye of Odin is an artifact with powerful magical attributes that can unleash the true power within its wearer. In Fox's case, she transforms into a werewolf every full moon.

The reluctant Goliath and Xanatos are able to separate the Eye from Fox after a brief but intense fight, and she returns to her normal self. Goliath demands possession of the Eye, to which Xanatos concedes saying, "Now you know my weakness." Goliath responds, "Only you would regard love as a weakness." Goliath and Eliza fly off to enjoy the rest of their evening, and Owen admits to his boss that he has never looked more heroic with his rescued bride in his arms. To this he says, "A temporary lapse, I assure you."
