Mrs. Plugger is excited about starting her own Victory Garden! Reminding her that tools are hard to get, and that neither of them knows much about gardening, Plugger organizes his neighbors to cultivate vegetables in a vacant lot. A few weeks later, when Mrs. Plugger looks sadly at her own efforts, he is able to show her the successful cooperative garden where shared tools, seed and experience have produced enough for everyone.
