Cartoon Synopsis:
The film opens with a short live-action song and dance by the Royal Samoans. Bimbo, in a small motorboat, is shipwrecked on a South Seas Isle. There, he meets a beautiful native girl in a canoe; she sports nothing more than a grass skirt and a floral lei. Bimbo falls for Betty and sings for her in the boat. The pair are captured by cannibals for their next dinner. Bimbo puts dirt on his face to appear black. He's mistaken for a cannibal god, and the native tribe makes him its king! Offended by Betty's provocative hula dance for Bimbo, the cannibals discover their mistake when it starts to rain and the dirt washes off Bimbo's face. Chased by the cannibals, Betty and Bimbo run for their lives. The pair manage to escape from the island and fall into each other's arms for a loving embrace.
