Cartoon Synopsis:
"Auld Lang Syne" begins the toon, and we are introduced to animated Charles K. Harris, composer of the "immortal song," presumably the title song, "After the Ball." We see him composing, plunking on a beer stein, and a piano. A white dog joins in, and the bouncing ball begins. Later, the dog plays piano, then dances over the words of the song, wearing various costumes, and carrying various props. The dog goes home to his wife, presumably after a night on the town. As he climbs a flight of steps up the stoop, she throws a lever which turns them into a ramp. He slides down, into a paddy wagon, and is driven off.
