Cartoon Synopsis:
Betty sings in bed while she reads a book of nursery rhymes. It's a clever tune about her wanting to visit all the fairy tale characters. In response to Betty's wish, Mother Goose materializes from a book cover and whisks her away on a broom to Mother Goose Land. Mother Goose gives her a tour of all her favorite nursery rhyme characters. Betty sings another tune to greet everyone, but in typical Fleischer style, this fairyland is a very dark place. Betty encounters the impoverished old woman who lived in a shoe, Little Jack Horner, Old King Cole, and Humpty Dumpty (who falls and cracks, revealing that his insides were full of rats). Betty is then assaulted by the lecherous spider from Little Miss Muffet. Miss Muffet's spider proves to be amorous, not predatory. Bye-Bye Blackbird plays while everyone comes to Betty's rescue. She awakens in bed with all the fairy tale characters surrounding her.
