Cartoon Synopsis:

This is not Mozart's opera nor the Smurfs version, but a rare French cartoon about a minstrel boy and his dog who attempt to enter the castle of a squire who has prohibited troubadours and minstrels. The boy's attempts are repeatedly thwarted by the castle guards until the squire smashes the boy's lute, whereupon a bird flies down and morphs into a magic flute. The boy gains entrance, and he has the squire and his knights in a whirl to the flute's magical notes.
