On a cold winter's day, Alice, now wearing pants below her white dress shirt and red overall, is in her bedroom with her cat, Dinah. Her father arrives in her room, explaining that he has to out rescue an innocent child stuck trapped in the snow, whom Alice hoped it's a girl.
He then leaves for a bored Alice to try make and play with her assorted fun and games; that is, all is going peaceful Dinah the cat notices something weird with and touches a strange glowing opening in Alice's looking-glass.
To Alice's surprise, they discover that the mirror marks a magical doorway to another world. They go through inside it, where they are transported a world of chess - Chessland. Alice is then met and greeted by the White King and Queen's court jester, Tom Fool, and together, they go on a grand adventure through Chessland meeting various colourful characters, such as the aforementioned White Queen and the White Knight, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the Snark and the Goat, the Wizard and the Paper, the Centaur, the jolly comedic and comical Conductor, the talking Horse, Humpty Dumpty and the diabolical villains Bandersnatch and the evil Jabberwock, and fighting spectacular complex obstacles, like traveling across the crazy square grounds of Chessland, hitching rides on Pegasus and travelling on trains that swim in the water and fly in the air, and most importantly, to combat climbing across the incredible cliffs to the castle while avoiding being grabbed, dragged away killed by winged bat-like creatures and the dangerous challenge of being crowned in the castle of the Red Queen and return to the other side of the mirror glass.
