Hercules And The First Day Of School Story Detail
The opener of the series introduces us to young Hercules as a teen- who we met briefly in the movie- and establishes the cartoon's place as a "mid-quel," occurring actually "midway" through the film. Hercules' living on the island with Phil now, training daily, and his dad Zeus demands that he go to school for a decent education so his mental skills match his physical strength. Soon after his arrival at school we meet the irrepressible Icarus, who latches on to his new- and only- friend with a cheerful if honest, "You need someone to put you at the epicenter of the chic, Greek, elite- um, I'm NOT that guy!" Icarus shows Hercules around school and introduces him to the love of his life- Cassandra, the girl with the dark visions of doom, and she and Hercules become instant friends. But a humiliating incident with the arrogant school bully Adonis makes Hercules feel out of place and and miserable, and a half-baked plan to fight a Cyclops in order to impress the student body backfires, nearly destroying the Academy.
