The Wicked Witch plants a fake ad in the paper for a handsome-judging contest judged by the movie actress Zelda Zowie (who will be played by the Witch) so she can grab the handsomest man in the contest and make him her slave. Everyone prepares, except for Socrates, the raggedy old scarecrow. Dorothy performs a "makeover" on him, redesigning a handsome new head and body for him. The Witch disguises as Zelda Zowie (by wearing typical 1960s movie actress apparel) and starts the contest. She is not interested in the Wizard, Rusty Tinman or Dandy Lion. She immediately grabs the handsome straw hunk (not knowing it's Socrates) and runs off with him. At her lair, Socrates speaks out, causing the Witch to find out and hit him.
