Magoo practices his putting using eggs rather than golf balls. He is overjoyed to discover that he has been accepted as a member of the exclusive Risty Vista Country Club (of course, he misreads the letter from the country club which, in fact, has actually not accepted his request for membership), and he sets off to get into the club and play some golf.
Magoo reaches a street corner and asks a lamp post for directions to the country club. A paddy wagon is stopped at the corner, and Magoo reads "Risty Vista Country Club" on the side (rather than "Police") and boards the paddy wagon. After a clever reference to a previous Backus character (Judge Stephens), Magoo is taken to the local penitentiary (which, as far as Magoo is concerned, is the country club). It only gets better from there.
At the end, the warden "releases" an upset Magoo, who believes that he was kicked out of the country club by a bunch of stuck-up snobs.
