A new flood befalls the Earth. Ferdinand- a modern-day Noah- manages to defy the elements and save some animals. Both humans and animals are involved in the swirl of adventure...
Forty days and forty nights of rain- the world has experienced a flood like this before, and now it's happening again. Two adults and two children seek refuge in a gigantic barn- a kind of improvised ark. In this floating house, they gather together the animals from their farm and from the neighboring zoo. Unfortunately, the only food is the 28 tons of potatoes on board. While the herbivores have no complaints, there are disgruntled mutterings from the carnivores, who start to cast increasingly greedy glances at their travelling companions...
The Prophecy of Frogs is a disconcerting fable that revisits the classic Biblical tale of Noah's Ark. The frogs, vis-a-vis the event which seriously threatens the majority of living beings, decide to break their secular wish of dumbness with regard to the men.
According to the director, it is "a tragi-comic social fable which raises questions about tolerance, ecology, difficulty in living together, the pangs of dictatorship... It is also a beautiful history of love between two children."
