Synopsis for the Feature Length Animated Film Nagagutsu O Haita Neko (Puss-in-Boots, Puss 'n Boots)

Pero, a musketeer sword-wielding cat, is on the run. He's guilty of the ultimate crime: rescuing mice from certain doom. In hot pursuit are three police cats, intent on bringing Pero to justice. Avoiding capture, Pero stumbles upon a boy named Pierre who lives with his two greedy and selfish brothers. His two brothers force him to cook and clean all day with little reward. Pero convinces Pierre that he's better off leaving this deprived life behind him. On the road to finding their fortune, they stumble upon a news bulletin from the castle. The king is looking for a husband for his daughter, Princess Rose. Pierre, with help from Pero, poses as a prince. He tries to woo the beautiful princess into marriage. But the evil Lucifer appears and spoils the plan when he manages to distract the king and kidnap the princess. It's up to Pero and Pierre to journey into Lucifer's castle, rescue the lovely Rose and return her safely. The story culminates in an action-packed, thrilling chase scene on the steeples of Lucifer's castle.
