Cartoon Synopsis:

After the Rubberobo Gang is foiled yet again by Rokusho, its leader realizes that he possesses a rare medal. Ikki and Metabee, meanwhile, robattle the entire Screws Gang and win. The Screws are no longer strong enough to compete with Metabee.

Searching for a sparring partner, Metabee invites Rokusho to have a friendly robattle. Rokusho declines: he doesn't see the point of robattles. Karin discovers a badly injured robot parrot. Rokusho immediately recognizes the parrot as Baton, an old friend from his days with Professor Hushi. Rokusho had believed until now that Baton had died in the fire which killed Professor Hushi.

Karin and Rokusho take Baton to Dr. Aki's house to repair him. There, Baton's memory circuits are activated. He relives the fire at Professor Hushi's lab, and he implicates Dr. Aki as the arsonist.

Rokusho attacks Dr. Aki, determined to avenge the death of his Medafighter. Phantom Renegade defends Dr. Aki, but in the course of the battle, Dr. Aki's house catches fire. Ikki and Metabee arrive on the scene, and they challenge Rokusho to a robattle to save the Doctor.

Rokusho is enraged, and he fights carelessly against Metabee. Just as he's on the verge of losing, Rokusho's body lights up with a strange glow. He has summoned up the power of the Medaforce! Rokusho attackes Metabee with the Medaforce, hurling a massive energy blast which knocks Metabee out of commission.

With Rokusho completely drained from using the Medaforce, the Rubberobo gang, led by Dr. Meda-Evil, moves in to attack him, using its powerful Medabot, Robo-Emperor, in an attempt to steal his rare medal.
