Cartoon Synopsis:

After making a daring robbery at the Medabot Museum, Phantom Renegade is pursued by Max Macraker, a tabloid journalist. Phantom Renegade escapes, but he bumps his head in the process, knocking his mask off. Muckraker picks up the mask.

The next day, Henry and Ikki both have mysterious bandages on their foreheads. The reporter suspects Ikki, thinking that he's the Phantom Renegade. He and his Chameleon-type medabot Multikolor trail Ikki everywhere, trying to catch his as the Phantom.

Unable to dig up any dirt on Ikki, Muckraker resorts at one point to posing as the Phantom Renegade to try and get info from Ikki which will lead him to accuse him. He dons the Phantom's mask in an attempt to embarrass him, hoping that this will force him out of hiding. In the end, Metabee defeats Multikolor in a robattle just as the real Phantom Renegade arrives to collect his mask, and to thank Ikki and Erika for their help in retrieving it.
