Cartoon Synopsis:
Merchandise in the general store- everything from sardines and potatoes to characters on package labels- comes to life to perform a musical revue. All the items on the grocery store shelves and the characters on the labels come to life for a Sunday song-and-dance fest. There are the singing Mexican tamales, dancing lobster, the Dutch Cleanser chorus line, singing Morton Salt gal and Uneeda Biscuit guy along with dozens of other long-gone but not forgotten brand characters. Even the flies get in the act when they attack a Russian bread and instantly break out into a Cossack dance. But things get out of hand when the gingerbread girl is carried off by the over-stimulated flies. It's up to the brave Eskimo Pie kid to save her in a finale that pits all the market populace against the invading flies!
