Cartoon Synopsis:
Till Eulenspiegel, the original class clown and one of Europe's most loved folk tale characters, is a free spirit representing the simple wisdom and earthy humor of the peasant folk. In countless legends, he wanders the landscape of the late Middle Ages getting in and out of trouble, and making fun of the rich and powerful. He has the universal appeal of the clown or the court jester, instantly understood and embraced in every country. Here, young Till makes his way to the bustling city of Boomstadt to visit his old grandfather, the slightly off-center wizard Marcus. The old man and his faithful assistant, the owl Cornelius, cook up a special magic potion of happiness for Till to give to the people of the city. Unfortunately, Marcus's old enemy, Dr. Death, a skeletal figure, sabotages the potion, and Marcus disappears in a terrible explosion. In order to find Marcus, Till must undergo further adventures, as well as hilarious and hectic battles.
