Synopsis for the Cartoon Special The Last Of The Curlews, Watch Video

This cartoon follows the plight of the last two members of a bird species that has been driven to extinction by man's thoughtless use and abuse of nature and wildlife. Along the way the viewer is shown how the fate of these birds reflects on the fate of wildlife in general if mankind doesn't start to take a kindler and gentler approach to wildlife. Although this is a cartoon, it is a very serious 30 minutes. It doesn't tie things up in a neat happy package at the end. As the credits for this show indicate, it won numerous awards, as well it should have.
