Cartoon Synopsis:

One of the darkest and most surreal of all the Fleischer cartoons. It's the depths of the Depression, and Betty is dispossessed. The cartoon opens with Betty singing a song while she and Bimbo are evicted from their foreclosed home. They pack their belongings into a horse-drawn cart and leave the neighborhood. As Betty leaves her house, a "For Sale" sign goes up. The picture backs away, and then the whole block is for sale, then the whole country, and finally, the whole world. The Moon gathers all the planets around to auction off the Earth. Mars and Venus do not bid high enough, but the planet Saturn gets the high bid to buy Earth (of course, the Moon demands cash up front from Saturn, not really seeming to trust him). Saturn decides to see what happens if he takes gravity out of the earth... so he reaches in and pulls out a large magnet. With no gravity, Betty and all her friends and the houses, etc. begin falling up. Gravity is reversed, along with all other activities on earth. Removing the Earth's gravity allows Betty's skirt to blow upwards and reveal her panties. When gravity is restored, Betty plummets back to Earth. She sings the closing song while a number of houses crash upon her.
