Cartoon Synopsis:
Welcome to the Middle Ages! Tristan is the King's son, but he is not yet a knight and refuses to be married to the daughter of the King of England- a girl whom he doesn't even know! Instead, Tristan starts out on a long journey with the film's narrator, Robin Goodfellow, following along. On arriving in the kingdom of his uncle on his father's side, Tristan becomes the unwitting pawn in a battle between his uncle and the giant Morold. Tristan's bravery bests Morold, but he is wounded by a poisoned sword and nursed back to health by the beautiful Isolde, Princess of Irelandis. The two fall in love, but their relationship is thwarted by cases of mistaken identity, palace intrigue and deep-seated family secrets. As with all good classic stories, everything works out in the end, but the telling of the tale is jam-packed with sword fights, spells, knights, dragons and much more.
