Radio Free Sealab Story Detail
Captain Murphy is bored and lonely because no one wants to play with him. Marco would rather keep the trillion-dollar station running rather than play with Murphy, so he deems Marco "mailboxhead". Not even the orphans will play with him. Murphy, bored as can be, launches Sealab's emergency beacon to start a pirate radio station, where he adopts the personality of "Howlin' Mad" Murphy. Murphy sucks up all of Sealab's power to make his radio show, in which he insults all of his callers. But as things start looking up, Marco brings the news that the FCC is looking for him, and that they have new systems of dealing with pirate radio. The FCC sends out a search-and-destroy vessel to track Sealab down, which is driven by a foul-mouthed FCC fed and his equally foul-mouthed son. Howlin' Mad becomes a hit from coast to coast by insulting his callers a la Howard Stern. Him and his sidekick Sparkplug (Sparks) have bits such as the "I Hate Marco Show" and prank calls to the suck-up forest ranger. The FCC then track Murphy down, and when he refuses to close up the radio show, they bomb Sealab.
