Somewhat of a throwback to the 1930s-era Tex Avery spot gag cartoons where visual puns and sight gags abound. In this wacky "documentary," the funny side of dogs and the various breeds are used in various gags about dogs. A St. Bernard, upon arriving to pull out a frozen victim, mixes himself a martini, then gallops off, hiccuping all the way! A Doberman pincher literally pinches his owner, Private Doberman (from "Sergeant Bilko"). There are also an "Oldfoundland," a pointsetter and an Elvis dog. Charlie Dog appears in a cameo.
