Cartoon Synopsis:


The newspaper comics page came to life in this series in 1978. Four strips were used in the show, including Alley Oop, Nancy, Captain and the Kids and Broom Hilda. Alley Oops friend Foozy also served as the host on The Fabulous Funnies and would speak in rhyme as he introduced the various segments of the show. This show attempted to be educational, addressing kid-friendly topics like safety and health care. Despite its popular characters and prosocial message, the show ran only one season.
