Cartoon Synopsis:

Farmer Al Falfa's regular milk cow has a sit-down strike (Local 6 7/8) and won't give milk, so the farmer gets a idea to build a mechanical cow using a cement mixer, a mailbox, bicycle handlebars (for horns), four old anvils, pipes and a clock! Sure enough, after tinkering here and there, the mechanical cow produces milk in bottles after eating some hay! Farmer Al Falfa taunts his cow as he puts the first batch of milk away. Meanwhile, the cow goes over to check out her competitor, and after she tries to stop it from producing milk, the mechanical cow eats the sit-down strike sign and promptly shuts down. Farmer Al Falfa tries to get his creation started again, only it spits out an empty milk bottle with a note: "On Sit Down Strike. No Milk Today!" Now exasperated, he kicks the mechanical cow, and only hurts his foot. He stumbles and falls on a table. A lit lantern that was on the table now flies and falls into the mechanical cow. Al Falfa reaches for a pail of water, only to grab another pail full of gasoline. He pours the gasoline onto the mechanical cow, which now goes berserk and then stampedes after Farmer Al Falfa and his real cow. The resulting chase ends with a crash!
