Robin Hood and his Merry Men meet a hooded, mysterious stranger to whom they offer the comfort of their camp in exchange for his gold. Robin is curious as to the stranger's identity. At first, the hooded one refuses to reveal his true identity. But when he feels that he can trust Robin and his followers, the stranger reveals himself to be King Richard. He was able to escape his captor- the King of Austria- with the help of some kindly guards. When His Majesty learns of the treachery of his half-brother and his two cohorts, King Richard joins forces with Robin and his Merry Men. Together, they bring an end to Prince John's evil reign in England, free Maid Marian (who marries Robin), and return to Robin Of Locksley title and lands.
