Cartoon Synopsis:
Heckle and Jeckle are both salesmen, or at least pitchmen. They show up in a municipal park (where no peddlers are allowed) to sell their instant hair-growing tonic (a/k/a snake oil). They set up a table and start trying to sell hair tonic to the locals, who are a bunch of cute li'l animals. Why any woodland creatures would need hair tonic is not explained. Along comes Dimwit (the moronic hound) as the park attendee, and that constable bulldog (did he ever have a name?) as the cop patrolling the park. Mayhem ensues, We see a sign announcing a fork in the road, and then -- yep! -- there's an enormous table fork in the road. The Bulldog Cop chases Heckle and Jeckle out once, but they come back. So Dimwit (the slow-talking dog) is told to get rid of them... easier said than done in this "hair-raising" adventure! Violently, the magpies clobber the two dogs. Plenty of violence and easy access to firearms.
