Cartoon Synopsis:

There's a big rodeo in town. Popeye and "Badlands Bluto" compete while Olive watches from the grandstand. Bluto is winning all the prizes and Olive's attention. Popeye won't stand for a phony cowboy messing with his "goil," In a roping demonstration, Popeye lassos a bullet just as it's about to hit Bluto's head. Popeye tries to ride a bronc, but Bluto puts loco weed in Popeye's spinach can, and Popeye loses. Bluto is still Olive's hero... poor Popeye. Later, Popeye gets his hands on real spinach- and Bluto gets it in the "end."
