Cartoon Synopsis:
The canyonites play a competitive game of road hockey for the "Canyon Cup," but they're interrupted when a large, angry moose charges into the game. Sheila is the only one left behind, and she takes the opportunity to score a goal, pronouncing herself the winner. The town decides that something drastic must be done about the rogue moose, but Norm is the lone dissenter, believing that they should leave the animal alone. Norm suggests a neighborhood watch program as a compromise, and during their patrol, Jake and Norm discover Russell McGurk, who has been hiding in the woods, living happily away from Mrs. McGurk for years. When the moose returns and rampages through the town, the canyonites blame it on Norm. Everyone decides that the moose must be killed, and they form an "attack unit" that Norm only joins to save face for Jake, who's getting teased by Butch and Sly for his dad's sensitive nature. On the hunt for the moose, Norm discovers that the animal is injured, and he believes that this is causing its aggression. To prove his point, Norm helps the animal, but the moose charges angrily at everyone, and Norm is a pariah again. Norm goes back out to hunt the moose, and, through a series of mishaps, appears in front of the canyonites with the subdued moose, and becomes a hero. Desperate to escape life with Mrs. McGurk, Russell fakes his death (again) and retreats back to the forest to live a life of freedom.
