Peter Rabbit's Christmas Tale brings Beatrix Potter's classic character, Peter Rabbit, to life in a brand-new adaptation featuring all new-original stories. Set in the Lake District, Peter and his best friends, Benjamin and Lily, face new and exciting adventures, introducing a whole new generation to the magic of Potter's world.
Tasked by his mother, Mrs. Rabbit, to make the Christmas deliveries to her neighbors, Peter sets off with his father's sled through the hilly snowscape with an additional passenger -- Peter's cousin Benjamin, who has secreted himself inside the large sack secured to the top of the sled.
The boys take time off from their errands for some frolicking and rollicking sleigh rides, and meet a new friend, the bookish but adventurous Lily Bobtail, a newcomer to country life. Together they set off for the general store to make their purchases from the proprietors, Ginger, the amiable tomcat, and Pickles, the prickly terrier.
After a comic encounter with the smooth-talking but hapless and inept fox, Mr. Tod, the trio teams up with Squirrel Nutkin and his band of treetop troops, the Squirrel Tribe, to devise a clever solution after Peter's sled rolls down a hill and into a lake. With the Squirrel Tribe, and under the leadership of our fearless Peter, the neighbors are not disappointed and receive their goods in time for Christmas.
To close, Peter receives a precious holiday gift from his mother -- his revered father's journal -- in which he collected keepsakes from all his adventures. As he flips through the pages, Peter notices that there are some blanks in the back, and he asks his mom why. "Room to add your own adventures," she presciently replies. And so the adventures of Peter Rabbit begin.
