On his way to the Crusades in the Holy Land, unknown assailants kidnap King Richard. With his half-brother out of the way, Prince John and his henchmen Sir Guy Of Gisborn and the Sheriff Of Nottingham tax and physically abuse the kingdom. Robin Of Locksley's father is thrown into prison and is killed by the Sheriff's men, and his lands, title and property are taken away. Forced to flee to Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood (as he is now known) bands together with other free-thinking Englishmen, including Little John, Allan A. Dale and Friar Tuck, to stop Prince John's rape of their land.
