BCDB: Cartoon Reviews: Long Way To Morning

In retrospect "Long Way To Morning" may seem a bit silly to Gargoyle purists (as we discover later on in the second season that Demona in fact outweighs Hudson in terms of conscious, waking, life experience); but overall the story works--and works well. "Youth versus Experience" being the main theme conveyed in this episode; the message is particularly suitable for the younger audiences of today who can benefit from learning from and appreciating the elderly. All of this aside, those looking for a good action-suspense show will find themselves completely drawn in by Demona and Hudson's suspenseful cat & mouse game. In short, an excellent episode and my personal favourite!"
