I Love To Singa

I first saw this cartoon in the 1950's when I was a little kid and never forgot the words to the song. My daughter (who is 25 now) came to me a few days ago and said, "Oh, Mom, you've got to see this cartoon. I love this song." When she showed me on the computer, I started singing along with the little owl and she turned in amazement to me. "Do you know this?" You know, I only ever saw this cartoon one time until the other day, but the words always stayed with me and I would sing them sometimes to myself when I felt low. I guess it's a really catchy tune!!

I try to show my kids the old cartoons because the new ones are too violent and not funny. This one I always sang the song and promised to find for them to look at. Glad I finally found it. Brings back so many Saturday morning memories.

I saw this on TV several years ago and was really mad at myself because I did not record it. Found this site through a Google search. I love the cartoon. It tells us a lot about human nature and how we think we know best for our children. And then we find out they really knew better than we did.
