I said it before, and I'll say it again: Jones directed GREAT Porky cartoons, LOUSY Sylvesters.
It just doesn't make sense; since Sylvester (the Sylvester WE all know and love) can TALK, why didn't he just SAY to Porky there's someone behind him?
You KNOW a Sylvester cartoon's in trouble when the incidental character--specially designed for the cartoon at hand--steal the thunder away from him.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Jones made GREAT Porky Pig cartoons, but LOUSY Sylvesters.
The fact that Sylvester can talk is a well-established character trait. If he wanted to show Porky that someone's behind him, why doesn't Sylvester just SAY SOMETHING??? It just doesn't make sense.
You know that a Sylvester cartoon's in trouble when the supporting characters, specially designed for the film at hand, start stealing the show away from the pussycat.
