This is a great cartoon about acceptance and self-discovery without having to completely conform to the crowd. But the stork was too cavalier about his mistake. He was callous, in fact. What's more, we never see what happened to Lambert's natural mother and father, who must have been heartbroken. Not to mention the baby lamb among a pride of lions! I know this sounds like over-analyzing, but young kids, like my nieces and nephews, pick up on the forgotten ones.

This was one of my favorite books as a child (I'm 31 now) and I too had only seen the movie once, but I can still remember the sheep singing Lamberts name. I sing the same goofy tune to my 7 year old as we read the same Disney lambert book I had at his age.

I only saw this cartoon once, when I was a little kid (I'm 36 now), but it has stayed with me ever since.
Nobody else (save for Holly and thechad5) ever remembers Lambert but I've always held him in my heart.
And Yes, the bit where Lambert snaps is one of the funniest things I ever remember seeing as a boy.
The smile it gave me finding him here on this site just wont go away either.
