BCDB: Cartoon Reviews: Robin Hood Daffy

This has to rank as one of the funniest of all Daffy Duck's toons. From the opening song whereupon Daffy has his first meeting with the river, to the hilarious laughing scene with Porky where Daffy joins in and ends up holding Porky in the merriment, to the depiction of the "weary traveller" Daffy attempts to rob, and in fact ends up helping to his final destination, this is packed with laughs from beginning to end. The piece de resistance is Daffy's attempt to swing from a vine and hits numerous trees along the way, and then, getting frustrated, chops down the trees to clear the vine path, and ends up hitting a large rock... as the "weary traveller" trots by. If this one doesnt make ya laugh, you need to be examined. Great layouts, fantastic dialogue, and as always with Jones' work, outstanding and flawless timing and animation.
