I beg to differ with the review at the bottom. This is something of a landmark in animation of the last 35 years......a visually stunning film, with animation that encompasses more than just tracings (which most reviewers have dismissed ALL of it as); there is some neat, cartoonish animation here and there as well. The backgrounds--as per Bakshi tradition--are sleek and mysterious at the same time. My chief complaint is that he devotes WAY too much screen time to the Tony character (HIS OWN generation)...but overall it's an entertaining story.

I have never been a big fan of Bakshi's cartoons.... and they looks even more dated now.
