BCDB: Cartoon Reviews: The Enchanted Square

The print on the DVD I have of this cartoon is not the best possible copy, but under the faded colors and film breaks, there is a sweet little cartoon. Some people may fuss about the stereotypical Irish immigrants featured in story. The part that makes this a special cartoon is I showed it to my almost two year old daughter one cold January morning when my wife was away on a woman's retreat. She watched it, but I did not think she paid much attention to it. Later, when it was nap time, I showed her the over sized Raggedy Ann doll my wife had when she was a teenager. My daughter touched the eyes and mouth just like the little girl in the cartoon, and gave the doll a big hug before her nap. It was very sweet. One of those moments I was glad to experience with my daughter. It is the second cartoon on Digiview Production's Cartoon Craze Presents Raggedy Ann – Suddenly It's Spring DVD. I paid USD 1.00 for the DVD.
