Great Idea

I've loved this cartoon for years, I never see it anymore but from the time I was a child until now the idea of inventing a portable hole is really quite ingenious. Still wish I had one on most Mondays and the little professor is so unassuming and he has that awfully mean wife that even the devil doesn't want :-)

It's truly amazing that McKimson could do a film on a par with any concurrent effort from Jones or Freleng. Although it's apparent from repeated viewings that McKimson doesn't quite have the taste or finesse of his colleagues, this short holds up very well.

I am impressed that Bob McKimson directed and animated the entire thing.
