Production Notes:
This TV series ran for 91 episodes.
The success of this award-winning series led to "Shin Konchu Monogatari Minashigo Hutch" (New Hutch) (1974), a second series, with new designs by Yoshitaka Amano. Characters in the series (which ran for 26 episodes) included Hutch's sister, wasps, a firefly, butterflies and a ladybug.
The story was remade by Akira Suzuki into a 55-episode series in 1989. Many of the scripts from the original 1970 version were reused. However, the animation was all-new.

Foreign Language Titles:
"Hacou l'Abeille" (French) and "L'Ape Magà" (Italian).
