Production Notes:

This direct-to-video series ran for five episodes, although six were planned.

The series was originally created for a PC game before moving to the Sony PlayStation for "Melty Lancer: Galactic Girl Cops 2086" and the subsequent tie-in "Melty Lancer: Third Planet."

Akira Matsubara drew a 1998 spinoff, "Melty Lancer: Can We Return to Tomorrow?", for Anime V magazine.
